A French Edger, also known as a French Skiver, is used to mitre and skive leather edges, create grooves for corners and folds, and skive smaller pieces of leather such as wallet pockets.
Made from durable D2 steel with a beautifully finished Cocobolo hardwood handle and brass ferrule.
Sharpened and ready to use. To maintain a sharp blade, apply green polishing compound to the flesh side of an off-cut piece of leather and strop the blade before and after each use.
